The project was aimed at empowering youths through education and training to participate in public, political and general social events more effectively. Youth participants in the projects have:
- learned the 4 levels of active citizenship;
- learned about basic human rights and ways to enforce them;
- developed the skills of debating, advocating and making compromises;
- became familiar with conflict resolution processes and strategies;
- learned critical thinking strategies and developed the skills to make responsible and critical contributions to public life;
- developed decision-making skills based on facts and information from real life situations;
- improved their organizational competencies and skills;
- actively expressed their ideas and opinions in the form of various workshops and other forms of collaboration;
- actively participated in the formulation of youth policies and the adoption of youth laws;
- formulated and implemented proposals for improving the position of youths at local and national level and developed other competences for taking an active and responsible role in society
Results:
- 21 publications: brochures (representative democracy, responsible consumerism), manuals (critical thinking, volunteering), reports on rights violations, evaluation report, catalog of the counseling center’s most frequently asked questions, conference proceedings, decision-making initiatives;
- 203 events (trainings, workshops, consultations with decision makers, round tables, competitions, conferences)
- 4852 participants and
- 1900 youth counselings on the topics of: law, employment and career, youth work)
