The City-wide Youth Parliament program has been developed specifically for the European Youth Capital project. Its purpose was to promote youth participation in democratic decision-making processes. The program provided a framework through which youths got a chance to decide. Youths were actively involved in the preparation and implementation of the program.
Results:
- 44 participants,
- an opening session held,
- political preschool (education on getting to know the political system and direct democracy) organized,
- the formation of a Committee on Direct Democracy and a Committee on Employment,
- 4 meetings with MEPs,
- an initiative for a participatory budged was created,
- an initiative on youth participation in decision-making processes was created,
- 1 plenary session held.
