Zavod PIP has taken over the organization of a roadshow campaign, which took place in 10 Slovenian cities between the 1st and 11th of April 2009. The aim of the campaign was to promote EU citizens’ rights and protections. The rights to vote and to run in local and European Parliament elections, the right to a quality administration by the European institutions and the right to complain about mismanagement, the right to access documents of the European institutions, the right to petition the European Parliament and the right to diplomatic and consular protection in all EU Member States were emphasised. We have also highlighted the right of EU citizens to move and reside in another EU Member State as a fundamental right of EU citizens. The campaign was implemented in public areas where we engaged with the public through interactive quizes and informal public presentations. Brochures, posters, notebooks and other promotional material were also available for visitors.
