This EU-wide campaign aimed to provide a strong, coordinated and balanced response to the growing drug problem that is affecting European society as a whole. The European Commission asked organizations and individuals to take some responsibility for addressing drug related issues. Participants were encouraged to sign a genuine commitment to participate in direct actions such as: raising awareness of illegal drugs and the dangers posed by drug abuse, speaking about devastating economic and social consequences that drugs cause especially among youths and reducing drug related risks.
