As part of the competition, the European Commission has collected nominations for the European Access City Award. The award seeks to present and reward cities that greatly improve accessibility for people with disabilities in essential areas of the city, improving their quality of life. The competition looked for projects that would allow people with disabilities to fully participate in societ, enabling them to fully enjoy their rights. This cmopetition was part of a broader EU effort to create a “Europe without barriers”. Zavod PIP promoted the project in Slovenian cities.
